The numbers
- Subscribed
- How many times over the shares on offer have been asked for. 1.00 times means demand exactly matches what's available. Below 1 means shares are going unsold.
- Cut-off price
- The price at which all the shares get taken. Bids above it are safe, bids below get nothing. Shows not covered yet while demand is still short.
- Live share price
- What the share trades at in the open market right now. If the cut-off is below this, bidders are getting a discount.
- Data age
- NSE and BSE only refresh bid totals about once a minute, so anything under 90 seconds is normal.
If something looks wrong
- “No bids recorded yet”
- Usually normal — bidding hasn't opened, or it's finished for the day. If it's definitely open, check the BSE code and category.
- “Blocked us temporarily”
- NSE does this if asked too often. Press Restart. If it repeats, leave it 20 minutes.
- “Not updating”
- Nothing new for over 2 minutes. Expected after market close. During market hours, press Restart.
- “Figures differ from the exchange”
- We cross-check our totals against theirs. A mismatch usually means a partial response and clears within a minute.
Adding tomorrow's retail round
Press Add New, choose Retail, and copy the codes from the existing screen. NSE cannot separate retail bids from non-retail ones, so retail screens read BSE only — the wizard handles that for you.
